MINUTES
UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING
February 20, 2001

Mayor Margo G. Bailey called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In attendance were Councilmembers Harrison C. Bristoll, Jr., W. Whaland Clark, Mabel Mumford-Pautz and J. Brian Kirby, Medford Capel, Utilities Commission Manager, W. S. Ingersoll, Town Manager, Joan Merryman, Stenographer, and guests.

Mayor Bailey asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes of the meeting of January 16, 2001. Mr. Bristoll moved that the minutes be accepted as presented, was seconded by Mrs. Mumford-Pautz and carried unanimously.

Mayor Bailey reported that the Utilities Commission has cash on hand and in banks of $477,678.99.

Mayor Bailey called on Mr. Capel for his report. Mr. Capel reported that three men of his department had attended a State required flagging training class.

Mr. Capel said the Utilities Commission was required to put a notice in the newspaper regarding a report on VOC's as he had failed to file a report. He said the test has been done and reported and there was nothing wrong with the Town water.

Mayor Bailey asked if there were any questions or comments. There being none, Mayor Bailey asked for a motion to pay the bills. Mr. Clark moved that the bills be paid as presented, was seconded by Mr. Kirby and carried unanimously.

Mr. Kirby moved that the meeting be adjourned at 7:33 p.m., was seconded by Mr. Bristoll and carried unanimously.
